A competition offering five novels, run through Books In Public, a reading strand that sat within the site's Do It In Public public transport campaign. The premise was that a bus or train journey is reading time, and the books were chosen as travel reading.

The page credits weekly recommendations to Emma, writing under the Books In Public name, and lists the titles on offer including Kathryn Fox's Blood Born and a Mike Gayle novel. It is one of the clearest illustrations in the archive of how the publication built campaign strands: a transport argument, a reading habit, a weekly column and a prize, all pointing at the same behaviour.
