A recap of an episode of Years of Living Dangerously carrying three separate strands: the New York Times columnist Thomas L. Friedman on how water shortage was destabilising Yemen, the actor Michael C. Hall in Bangladesh on rising sea levels, and the actor Matt Damon on heat itself.

The Damon segment, Mercury Rising, was the one the recap chose to lead on. It quoted his framing of the question directly: whether the most dangerous thing about global warming might also be the most obvious one, the heat. The recap treated severe heat waves as the strand of the episode most likely to reach a reader who had tuned out the rest.

English Wikipedia cites this address in its article on the series. It is the last of the five recaps to be cited, and it was published a week before the finale review that follows it in this archive.
