We love holidays here at Global Cool, especially ones that are kinder to the planet, like going on a Traincation. We also love looking at how people from all over the world are doing their bit to keep this world beautiful.
Here’s our weekly guide to the world’s greatest green beaches…
Whitehaven Beach, Whitsunday Islands, Australia
Located off of the Queensland coast, Whitehaven Beach is about as close as you can get to perfect. Awarded Australia’s cleanest beach in 2008 and 2009, this 4.3mile area of pure white sand and sparkling blue sea is stunning. Being part of the Whitsunday Islands in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, access to Whitehaven Beach is controlled, so often there are only a handful of people on the beach at one time, allowing authorities to protect the area.
See what we can do when we look after this planet of ours?
