We love holidays here at Global Cool, especially ones that are kinder to the planet, like going on a Traincation. We also love looking at how people from all over the world are doing their bit to keep this world beautiful.
Here’s our weekly guide to the world’s greatest green beaches…
Las Islas Cies, Galicia, Spain
Located north of Portugal, Islas Cies is a breath of fresh air compared to the Spanish Costas and their overcrowded beaches.
Being in the Atlantic, the water is colder than the Med, but it’s still calm enough to go swimming in.
The island itself is a protected National Park where camping is the only form of accommodation and cars aren’t allowed on giving Islas Cies a very relaxed feel.
See what we can do when we look after this planet of ours? Where’s your favourite beach?
