This week we are sending you on Traincation to get your groove on with Justice, The Stone Roses and Mumford & Sons at Hultsfred Festival in Sweden…

What’s all the fuss?
Hultsfreds FestivalenHultsfred Festival is a three day party situated in Sweden, which goes on from the 14-16 June. The Stone Roses have chosen this particular festival to hold their first reunion, so it’s bound to be a big one. There’s a lot of hype about them being back together as it’s been 16 years since the public have seen them on stage, so you know it’s going to be an epic performance.

This festival has a real indie/pop/rock vibe, so it welcomes in a wide range of people to celebrate their love for the music. At Global Cool we love camping too as it is the ultimate green way to have a holiday. So we can’t think of a better way to spend a Traincation!

The other confirmed acts included are Noah and The Whale, Justice, Gorillas Sound System, Mumford & Sons, Garbage, Chase & Status and many more. With a line up like that it’s not to be missed!

Getting there
Getting over to Sweden is an experience you’re unlikely to forget in a hurry. It involves a few different trains but just this adds to the adventure. Catch the lunchtime Eurostar to Brussels and then the high speed train to Cologne. From Cologne, jump on the overnight sleeper train to Copenhagen and then the X2000 train to Stockholm.

You’re nearly there, now from Stockholm City terminal catch the festival bus. This will take you right up to the door of the festival, ready to don your festival gear and have a boogie.

Living green doesn’t have to mean growing dreadlocks and becoming an eco-warrior. At Global Cool we reckon a greener life is still a fun one. We’ve found four simple ways you can be greener without sacrificing the things you love. All our articles highlight one way (the one in bold below) to start being greener. Click on the links to find out more…

1. Be a winner, not a binner (aka recycling and reusing stuff)
2. Turn up the style, not the heat (aka using less energy at home)
3. Love the trend, not the spend (aka buying stuff that doesn’t harm the planet)
4. Do it in public (aka ditching the car and plane when you can)
