Fancy a Goldeneye themed Traincation to Switzerland for one of the most extreme bungee jumping experiences around? We’ve got the perfect trip for you, plus we’ll show you how to plan and book the whole trip yourself, without ever having to bother Miss Moneypenny…
What’s all the fuss?
The famous Verzasca Dam (pictured) was featured in the film Goldeneye, with the opening scene showing James Bond bungee jumping off the side. Plunging down over 720ft, the hydroelectric dam is at Val Verzasca in Switzerland. You will need to book in advance online, and you can combine your jump with other extreme sports.
The nearest train station is Tenero, and you can save money on accommodation for one night by travelling on a sleeper train. Jump on a late afternoon Eurostar to Paris and connect at Paris-Bercy to Milano Centrale on the overnight train. Wake up for breakfast in Milan before hopping on the Eurocity train to Bellinzona, which takes just over an hour. There are regular connections from here to Tenero, taking only 20 minutes. Book now with Loco2 or if you need any advice on the journey have a chat with them on Twitter @loco2.
