Hotel Terra

We know life can be tough. Sometimes all you want to do is pack up your things and take a long vacation. Well what’s stopping you? We’ve hunted high and low for the creme de la creme of eco-friendly hotels across the globe…

Hotel Terra, Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Hotel Terra is everything you could wish for from a luxury hotel – and more! With only organic or recycled materials used (such as organic bedspreads and recycled “Eco Shake” shingles for the roof), some very green heating/cooling systems and more, Hotel Terra gives other eco hotels a run for their money. What’s more if you love skiing, the Grand Teton National Park is less than a mile away so access to skiing is literally on your doorstep.

Hotel Terra is the first resort of its kind, but the Terra Resort Group plans to build more luxury (and eco) hotels following the huge success of Hotel Terra, and we can’t wait! Here’s some pics to get your mouth watering for an adventure…

frankensteinHere comes the science bit…

Living green doesn’t have to mean growing dreadlocks and becoming an eco-warrior. At Global Cool we reckon a greener life is still a fun one. We’ve found four simple ways you can be greener without sacrificing the things you love. This article highlights one change you can make (highlighted in bold) to start being greener. Click on the links to find out more…

1. Be a winner, not a binner (aka recycling and reusing stuff)
2. Turn up the style, not the heat (aka using less energy at home)
3. Love the trend, not the spend (aka buying stuff that doesn’t harm the planet)
4. Do it in public (aka ditching the car and plane when you can)
