Because looking fab at your Christmas parties doesn’t have to cost the Earth…

Rita Ora and Livia Firth

It’s that time of year again when women and men everywhere spend their lunch breaks scrambling around stores hunting for that perfect Christmas party outfit to prove to their colleagues that there’s more to them than a suit. But trying to shop during the festive season can be such a headache and more often than not we return back to our desks empty handed and feeling blue.

Rita Ora and Livia Firth looked anything but blue at the British Fashion Awards this week in their dazzling dresses. We noted a plethora of blue hues from pale and powdery to bright and bold. And we’ve found a few eco alternatives so you can be sure to wow at your Christmas parties this year…

Blue Dresses

Rock this vintage mad men style 1950’s style swing dress from ASOS Marketplace (above left). We adore the powder blue colour and if you’re looking for a fabulous dress for many occasions then this is the one for you. You can dress it up with heels for a party and then hang it up ready to pair with flip flops when summer rolls round again.

Or brighten up the dancefloor in this Lina Sustainable Vest Top Dress by Go Green M By M (above centre). This versatile wardrobe essential can be worn as a long top or a short dress depending on what look you’re going for. Chuck on a pair of black tights, ankle boot and a gold skinny belt and bag for the party season. Buy a size up for a less body hugging shape.

Finally look cute and flirty in this Georgia Dress from Annie Greenabelle (above right).  This pretty navy jersey dress has a lovely panelled front and back. Made from 100% organic cotton, this dress will keep it’s nest if it’s washed at 30 degrees. It’s also been made ethically in England so you know you’re keeping Mother Nature happy to.
