FASHION FOR LIFE: Make other girls green with envy by stealing Alicia Keys’ style secrets

Because following the latest trends shouldn’t cost the Earth…

In the world of fashion, it’s all about bright colours! Brights are set to be the big thing for the upcoming season and we can’t wait to jump on the bandwagon. Alicia Keys brought brights to our attention in this bootle green dress at the MTV awards.

Here are a couple of our favourite bright green pre-loved pieces from ASOS Marketplace for guilt-free fashion indulgence. It’s really important with this shade that you wash at 30 degrees or less to avoid your items fading and becoming a pale, washed-out grey-green (totally not hot right now!)…

We heart these vintage ’70s flares (above left)! These high-waited funky trousers look great on, hit a key colour trend for this season and also are incredibly flattering. We think they’d look awesome with a black tube top and chunky heels on a night out or with a simple cream shirt if you’re feeling brave at the office.

Or button up in this bright green shirt (above centre). It’s a vintage ’80s find and we love the look above with the shirt buttoned to the top and big gold earrings. We’d also tuck it into a pair of high-waited vintage Levi’s to complete the look.

And finally dress to impress in this green crochet dress (above right). This vintage dress is from the early ’60s and features a crochet top and side zip fastening. We think it would be the perfect dress for your Christmas parties with sheer tights and some killer heels.

Here’s Alicia’s latest single Girl On Fire

GC articles show you one of four ways (the one in bold) to live greener…

/ Be a winner (not a binner) /
/ Turn up the style (not the heat) /
/ Love the trend (not the spend) /
Do it in public (not the car/plane) /
