MnS Footglove Eco Shoes

M&S have just introduced their first capsule collection of sustainable footwear and we’re pretty darn pleased! The new line, called Footglove, was made in one of M&S’s eco factories which focusses on minimising water, waste and energy use.

All the materials used to create the collection were made in a sustainable way or using recycled waste.

The comfy fabric lining comes from a yarn that uses ground coffee beans, the soles contain natural rubber and rice husks, and the padding is made from recycled foam. Internal linings of the shoes are even made from recycled plastic bottles too. The results are ultra comfortable, flexible and lightweight.

If they weren’t great already we also thought about the adhesives and have used water based adhesives, ensuring no solvents or latex and meaning there is  less water and energy needed in production. What more could you want from your footwear?

Check out the entire Footglove range now…

GC articles show you one of four ways (the one in bold) to live greener…

/ Be a winner (not a binner) /
/ Turn up the style (not the heat) /
/ Love the trend (not the spend) /
/
Do it in public (not the car/plane) /
