FASHION SPOT: Wrap up warm in jumpers made from bananas

Because looking good doesn’t have to cost the Earth…

Cream Jumper

It’s chilly bonbons outside! We’ve been spending our days snuggled up in the corner of Global Cool headquarters, keeping warm with cuddles from the office puppy and warm winter knits. So it’s no surprise that we loved Aliya’s woolly winter look (above). Here’s the eco way to get the look…

Winter Look

Get cosy in this People Tree Victoria Knit Jumper (above left) from our new fave site Style Is. This comfy, loose knit cream cotton jumper has stylish cropped sleeves and a flattering neckline. Hand knitted in Nepal from 55% organic cotton and 24% banana tree fibrelengths (yes, that is a real thing).

One look we adore at the moment is the big floppy hat just like this ’70s Black Floppy Hat from ASOS Marketplace. This 100 percent wool felt had it super cute with a 4″brim. It even has a pretty black grosgrain hat band – ideal for perfecting that Brigitte Bardot look!

Never misplace your handbag again with this Melie Bianco Vegan Edith Cross Body Bag. This top handle mini cross body bag features a removable chain strap and pretty clasp detailing. It’s also been made using vegan materials too so you’ll be doing your bit for the planet too!

For now we’ll leave you with Butterball the puppy trying to get down the stairs to get you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside…

GC articles show you one of four ways (the one in bold) to live greener…

/ Be a winner (not a binner) /
/ Turn up the style (not the heat) /
/ Love the trend (not the spend) /
Do it in public (not the car/plane) /
