TV TURN OFF: It’s all gone a bit tits up in jungle for Helen Flanagan and Made In Chelsea’s Hugo

Because bad TV shouldn’t cost the earth…

Helen Flanagan and Hugo Taylor

It’s that time of year again… I’m a Celebrity is back. Not even one day into the new series it would appear that many of the contestants are already finding it just a bit too much and starting to crumble in the jungle. Definitely a good reminder to turn your TV fully off rather than leaving it on standby!

Made In Chelsea star Hugo Taylor is perhaps the contestant who is finding the lack of luxury the most challenging this year and subsequently he has now been dubbed ‘Maiden in Chelsea’. Having failed the first bushtucker trial to boxing champion David Haye he retreated to the bush telegraph and burst into tears – which if truth be told was all rather funny.

The E4 star said: “I didn’t expect to cry this early. It’s hard to rationalise when your body is saying you need to eat, when you need to sleep. It’s just terrible.’’ Well at least we think he did. We found it hard to hear him over our roaring laughter.

Coronation Street star and pin-up Helen Flanagan has also been struggling and spent much of the first episode in tears. Following a series of squeals and some very interesting facial expressions she expressed her fear of the rats and cleaning out the camps ‘dunny’, saying ”no-one is allowed to do a number two while they are here!”

Having decided all camp chores were far too beneath her to do, she went off for a shower in a teeny weenie bikini. This public popularity stunt has none-the-less proved very popular, but her fellow camp-mates do not seem to be so impressed…

David Haye called her ditzy and also uttered: “She’s a real cute chick but she stinks of fake tan” (ouch). Actress Linda Robson also didn’t hold back:  “Helen reminds me of a seven-year-old child. She bought in bottles of St Tropez tan lotion. She’s 22, very young and sheltered in her life.” Uh oh, we can foresee drama on the horizon…

Following her crocodile tears in the first show it was no surprise that Helen was voted in by the public for the first bushtucker trial. She went up against Mid-Bedfordshire MP Nadine Dorries but Flanagan gave up just four seconds into the task!

The MP may be the star of her camp today but she isn’t so popular back home. She provoked wide-spread anger last week as she not only left for the ITV1 show without telling her local association or getting permission from the chief Whip, but also got papped sunbathing topless in her high end Australian hotel prior to the show – this cheeky MP has now been suspended from the Conservative party.

Here’s a little clip too so you can witness it for yourself (the trial, not the toplessness)…
