TV TURN-OFF: TOWIE’S back and so’s the crap TV

Because rubbish TV shouldn’t cost the Earth…

TOWIE

Turning your TV completely off rather than leaving it on standby might be a pain in the arse (given that you have to actually get up out of your chair to do it), but it will save you loads of cash and help preserve your TV for longer. As a gentle reminder not to leave your TV on stand by here’s TV turn-off of the week: A TV lowlight that proves that sometimes the only way is not Essex… it’s the OFF button…

TOWIE returned to our screens on Sunday night, planting the seeds of minidrama across Brentwood – it left the new series as obvious as a pre-read book…

Will Gemma remain a vegetarian at ‘one with earth’? Will Mario and little Chris be tall and small pals once again? And finally, will Bobby get his Gayby (baby)?

Various new ‘themes’ unfolded throughout the episode – Brentwood fostered a particularly broody atmosphere as Bobby revealed his plans to try to adopt a baby or find a surrogate ‘oven’; Lauren Pope spoke of her pregnancy scare shortly after Kirk claimed he wants to be a young dad; and finally, Mick may throw a foul-party for his pregnant horse later on in the series (umm…what?)

A more familiar theme ran through the episode as Mario Falcone was painted as the Essex bad-guy (yet again). Following some rather harsh banter with pal Chris, Mario headed out for his 25th birthday for a boys night out dismissing his girlfriend Lucy Mecklenburgh. The couple’s relationship (which has built itself a very rocky reputation), left viewers on a cliff-hanger: Will Lucy believe new information from a Sugarhut Honey, about Marios ongoing sex requests? What will become of them both? And does anyone actually care anymore?

For now here’s a short interview with Sam and Joey Essex speaking out about the new series of TOWIE on ITV so you can decide for yourself. Altogether now… shaaatttuuuppp…
