Global Cool Music Radar has come to an end, as everything does and as everything must. As sad as it makes us to move on, this next step means exciting things for all of us here at Global Cool and of course all of you! As our last post we thought we would take the opportunity to look back at the pure class of musical talent who have been championed by us and much loved by you (no doubt)…

Amongst the chosen ones we have lost our musical minds to the likes of Alabama Shakes, Brandi Carlile, Beck, Jessie Baylin, The Weeks, Pacific Air, Delta Spirit, Alvvays, Hailey Tuck and Jenny Lewis…so much so that you would think we were pro-American but that is certainly not the case. Following the media buzz from last year, we are pretty sure we’ve nailed it when it comes to the best UK talent around (Jack Garratt case-and-point) and are true die-hard fans of the UK music scene.

These past months we’ve listened to some epic talents in almost every venue in London…doing the rounds as they say…and vibing out to the likes of Wolf Gang, Fickle Friends, Amber Run, Lucy Rose, Cash+David, Seafret, The Night VI, Wyldest, Childhood and Leo Stannard.

New comers going places: Gutshot For Broadway, Lazy Day and Of Empires.

Ones to watch: Wet, Shura and Kiah Victoria.

Mind blowers: Amy Leon, Benjamin Clementine, Annie Eve and Daniel James.

My personal top-three: Lizbet Sempa, Blood Orange and The Mispers.

If you’ve liked what you’ve been hearing then please do check out my next “coming-soon” project, Not Fond Of Asking. Work in progress but more musical insights to be shared…

To sign off, it’s been real, thank you, here’s one last stellar track by On An On to say farewell…take a listen to Every Song below…

Editor’s note: The main image is of Callan herself. She’s probably going to kill us for putting up a photo of her but we just think it perfectly sums up her love of music. And her unbounded joy when she’s immersed in it. Thanks for everything Cal!

frankensteinHere comes the science bit…

GC articles show you one of four ways (the one in bold) to live greener…

/ Turn up the style (not the heat) /
/ Love the trend (not the spend) /
/ Do it in public (not the car/plane) /
