School Of Cool #112: Blaze Of (green) Glory! How to be as cool as Jon Bon Jovi

on in Uncategorized

Because being cool shouldn’t cost the Earth…

Jon Bon Jovi

So, who is he?
You need an immediate lesson in musical education if that’s a serious question. Jon Bon Jovi is one of the biggest names in music to date. His band Bon Jovi have sold over 130 million records and he has also tried his hand at record producing and acting too.

During his career, he has released two solo albums and eleven studio albums with his band, which to date have sold over 130 million albums worldwide making them one of the world’s best-selling music artists.

Impressive. What else do I need to know?
Did you know that Jon Bon Jovi has his very own English pub called The Shoe Inn? Unfortunately you won’t be able to pop in for a pint any time soon as it actually sits on the grounds of his house and is just for his family and friends.

He’s a cool guy, but why is he a Global Cool guy?
It was very nice indeed to discover that someone as busy and successful as Jon Bon Jovi still gives a cr*p about his planet. As part of Jon’s Soul Foundation he supports affordable green housing in urban areas and he also contributed to the first LEED-certified housing facility in Philadelphia. He even helped construct two eco-friendly Brooklyn housing projects with Habitat for Humanity.

He even made his own line of t-shirts, called the Bon Jovi GREN Line, which were made of either organic cotton or a type of polyester made from recycled Mountain Dew bottles.

Now here he is in action… *swoon*…

frankensteinHere comes the science bit…

GC articles show you one of four ways (the one in bold) to live greener…

/ Be a winner (not a binner) /
/ Turn up the style (not the heat) /
/ Love the trend (not the spend) /
/
Do it in public (not the car/plane) /
