Need a pick-me-up on the bus to the office? Or looking for that perfect Friday-feeling tune for the train journey home? Look no further! Each fortnight we’ll bring you our Music Radar top track, complete with a Spotify playlist, so you can plug in and get your toes tapping on public transport

Making it as a musician has, over time, become easier to do with the likes of The X-Factor and YouTube, but it still stands as one of the toughest industries to get established and recognised in. Sadly, that means a lot of incredibly gifted musicians go unnoticed, and so we’ve decided to introduce to you two of our favourite up-and-coming artists who we hope will be gracing our radios and television screens in the near future.

First up is Matt Woods, whose wonderful talent we first witnessed at an acoustic night at North London’s Nambucca. After obtaining a degree in Mathematics, Cornwall-born Matt moved to London in the hope of launching a music career, and he’s certainly come a long way, having recently released two new EP’s.

The soft huskiness of his voice is definitely something we want to hear more of, and we hope you enjoy his music as much as we do. Check out his latest single below…

Continuing the acoustic vibe, the next artist we want to introduce you to is Jackie D Williams. He released his third EP earlier this year which, like the other two, welcomed positive feedback from fans.

Jackie’s popularity on YouTube is also rapidly increasing, with his cover of Disclosure’s Latch racking up almost 256,000 hits – be sure to give it a listen below!

And don’t forget to check out Global Cool’s Music Radar Spotify playlist to keep up to date with the hottest new music when you’re on the bus/train/tube to work….

GC articles show you one of four ways (the one in bold) to live greener…
/ Be a winner (not a binner) /
/ Turn up the style (not the heat) /
/ Love the trend (not the spend) /
/ Do it in public (not the car/plane) /
