We are just going to jump straight into it this week, bringing you two new acts that have so much love for we have almost forgotten that it is arctic weather outside…

First up is a band that we have only just had the immense pleasure of discovering. Sitting on the floor, a meter away from the feet of lead vocalist Sophie-Rose, we listened to the magic that is The Night VI. These French-English six-piece musicians have created something utterly stunning in the way they deliver their music. Captivating lyrics, brilliant harmonies, a bass, drums, a guitar, a keyboard and a harp…yes a badass plugged-in harp. Composition is everything with these guys and they nail it every time.

After releasing their debut EP Still Thinking Of You in 2013, the band continued to make moves with stellar singles Wonderlust (2014) and Sienna (2014). Thankfully there is more to look forward to! Following the release of their latest single Too Late to Lie earlier this month, the band plan on doing a show for White Heat at The Lexington on February 20 before heading to Germany to record their first studio album. Our must listens are Thinking of You and Too Late to Lie, but take a look at this beautiful video of Wonderlust below…

Next up are a Brooklyn trio that you need to know about. Wet, made up of vocalist Kelly Zutrau, Joe Sulkow and Marty Valle, are an electronic/singer-songwriter/pop sort of sound that is just beautiful. After meeting as college students in NYC, these three musicians spent a few years getting it right and putting all their passion behind the tracks they have released on their self-titled debut EP (2014). The lyrics and vocals are just sublime! All in all these musicians have created something great that will continue to grow and grow.

Every track of their EP is incredible but not to be missed are You’re the Best and Dreams. Our top pick is Don’t Wanna Be Your Girl – which will send chills down your spin. Take a look at the video below…

And don’t forget to check out Global Cool’s Music Radar Spotify playlist to keep up to date with the hottest new music when you’re on the bus/train/tube to work….

frankensteinHere comes the science bit…

GC articles show you one of four ways (the one in bold) to live greener…
/ Be a winner (not a binner) /
/ Turn up the style (not the heat) /
/ Love the trend (not the spend) /
/ Do it in public (not the car/plane) /
