Kim Kardashian Vampire Facial

Turning your TV completely off rather than leaving it on standby might be a pain in the arse (given that you have to actually get up out of your chair to do it), but it will save you loads of cash and help preserve your TV for longer. As a gentle reminder not to leave your TV on stand by here’s TV turn-off of the week: A TV lowlight that proves that sometimes the only way is not Essex… it’s the OFF button…

Reality TV wouldn’t be worth watching if its stars weren’t doing something out of the ordinary, but this week Kim Kardashian took things way too far! During the latest episode of the reality TV series Kourtney & Kim Take Miami, Kim was filmed having a ‘vampire facelift’ (ouch!).

The TV star’s concept of “natural beauty” is disturbing at most times, but we certainly did not need to see this one coming…

The vampire facelift process involves taking blood from the arm, separating the blood cells from the platelets which are then purified and injected back into the skin to stimulate growth of new collagen. Prior to the treatment Kim claimed: “I love trying anything that makes you look and feel youthful.” Rather you than us, Kimmy…

Kim shouted in pain as the surgeon injected nine acupuncture needles into her face. The star powered through the pain to tweet pictures of her bloodied face to her 17.5 million followers after the treatment. We aren’t sure whether or not this treatment actually worked or not, one thing’s for sure though it’s definitely not pretty (and a crazy waste on money)!

With your famous… ahem… assets no one’s looking at your face anyway Kim…

Here’s her vampire antics explained…
