Because being cool doesn’t have to cost the Earth…
So, who is he?
Mark Ruffalo is an American actor who you probably recognise as the guy who got drunk with Kirsten Dunst in The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind or who got spooked by Reece Witherspoon in Just Like Heaven.
More recently he’s been showing his dark side starring as Bruce Banner/The Hulk in Marvel’s The Avengers. He’s also tried his hand at directing, producing and screen writing too, and won an Academy Award for his role in The Kids Are All Right.
Impressive. What else do I need to know?
Here’s a random fact for you… Samuel L Jackson said in a recent interview that the best thing about Ruffalo is his cuddles.
After working alongside him, Jackson said: “He’s just everybody’s little cuddly bear. Everyone loves hugging on Mark.” We wonder if Jackson would still want to cuddle him when he’s made over as The Hulk?
He’s a cool guy, but why is he a Global Cool guy?
Mark Ruffalo may turn into a fictional green giant in The Avengers, but in real life the actor is green in more ways than one. He has his own anti-fracking organisation called Water Defense and spends a lot of his time protecting the planet by supporting things like renewable energy.
Ruffalo loves solar power and renewable energy so much he added a solar array to his farm in New York!
So we think you should all follow in Mark’s awesome green footsteps. After all you don’t want to make him angry. You wouldn’t like him when he’s angry…
Here comes the science bit…
GC articles show you one of four ways (the one in bold) to live greener…
