School Of Cool #122: How to be the top dog like Jude Law

on in Uncategorized

Because acting like a celeb doesn’t have to cost the Earth…

Jude LawSo, who is he?
We’re sure you already know who Jude Law is but just in case you’ve forgotten that million dollar smile, we’ll refresh your memory…

Jude Law is an English actor, producer and director famous for his roles in The Talented Mr Ripley, Cold Mountain and AI (and famously shacking up with the nanny while he was engaged to Sienna Miller). He’s got Academy Awards and BAFTAs under his belt and we loved his role as Dr Watson alongside Robert Downey Junior in the Sherlock Holmes movies.

More recently he’s been running around town promoting his new gangster movie Dom Hemingway which we can’t wait to see.

Impressive. What else do I need to know?
Before Law made it big in the acting world he shared a flat with Jonny Lee Miller and Ewan McGregor – oh, what we wouldn’t give to have been a fly on the wall in that set up!

So, he’s a cool guy, but why is he a Global Cool guy?
Jude Law may be in the running for ‘World’s Sexiest Man’ , but the Oscar nominated actor is more than just a pretty face. Jude also happens to be one of the UK’s most outspoken environmentalists. So, it comes as no surprise that Law would be right there on the front lines to protest the recent arrest of thirty Greenpeace activists.

The A-list actor joined other celebrities like Damon Albarn, Paul Simonon, Downtown Abbey‘s Jim Carter, and actress Imelda Staunton to voice concern over the welfare of the Greenpeace activists currently being detained by the Russian government on charges of piracy. And we like to think that he played a small role in the decision to finally release (most of) them on bail earlier this month.

Law, who worked with Greenpeace in the past as part of their Save the Arctic campaign, knows that the plight of the planet is one close to his heart!

And here he is in action in the trailer for Dom Hemingway

GC articles show you one of four ways (the one in bold) to live greener…

/ Be a winner (not a binner) /
/ Turn up the style (not the heat) /
/ Love the trend (not the spend) /
Do it in public (not the car/plane) /
