Because being cool shouldn’t cost the Earth…

Emily BluntSo, who is she?
You’ll probably remember Emily Blunt best as the uptight PA to Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears PradaThe British actress has also won critical acclaim for her roles in The Young Victoria, and The Adjustment Bureau along with being nominated for three Golden Globe Awards and a BAFTA.

Impressive. What else do I need to know?
It may be hard to believe now from her flawless acting, but Blunt actually suffered with a severe stutter until she was 14 years old. She also suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder, too.

She’s a cool girl, but why is she a Global Cool girl?
Along with her new husband John Krasinski, Emily Blunt has just moved into her newly-purchased, eco-friendly home in California which cost her a cool $2 million.

This awesome property with four bedrooms and bathrooms runs on renewable energy technology from giant solar panels. It also sits in some of the most beautuful mountain and hiking trails in California, littered with organic farmers markets and little local businesses.

There are loads of photos of the house on the TMZ website, but for now we’re going to concentrate our efforts on seeing if they’ll let us move into one of their spare rooms. It can’t help to ask, can it?

frankensteinHere comes the science bit…

GC articles show you one of four ways (the one in bold) to live greener…

/ Be a winner (not a binner) /
/ Turn up the style (not the heat) /
/ Love the trend (not the spend) /
Do it in public (not the car/plane) /
