We’re always on the look out for the good, the bad and the ugly in celebsville. But unlike most of the celebrity rags, we’re more concerned with who’s using their canvas bag at the supermarket than who’s been spending a little bit too much quality time with the botox needle. And what better way to put them to rights than by playing our favourite TV show, Snog Marry Avoid…
Leonardo DiCaprio… and the whole cast of Inception. Although the film hasn’t hit the big time at the awards ceremonies having missed out on Best Picture, it has recently won Best Achievement in Visual Effects and Best Production at the BAFTAs. More importantly, what made the award-winning, expensive and energy-consuming effects possible was all thanks to Leonardo’s clever thinking. Warner Bros and our favourite green hunk asked for solar panels to power the entire film set, and if you’ve seen the film you’ll know that’s no mean feat – some amazing stunts in rotating sets make those 10 years of writing and production well worth the effort. Is that even possible we hear you cry? Well, they managed to make one of the best films of the year that way and we think that in itself deserves an award or two.
Not only is Emma Watson the world’s favourite Harry Potter heroine with brains to match, she’s spent the last couple of years working with People Tree to launch on-trend eco-friendly fashion collections. For the SS11 line – and her last collaboration with People Tree – she’s had a more hands on approach and helped design the pieces made from all things organic and fair trade. This collection has everything you could want for when the weather heats up: grecian and tea dresses, harems, blazers, skirts and the all important shirt for this year. Our favourite? A little black and white silk number, as modelled by Emma in our pic, that comes in red and black too. And the best news: it’s completely affordable, there’s something for boys and girls, and it’s available for fashion lovers in the UK and the US.
Considering she’s pretty handy with heavy-duty weaponry, it feels pretty daring to say that we’d avoid her this week, but we’ve found the balls to go for it. Uma – you might look hot as hell as Giulietta in the new Alfa Romeo adverts but why not sex up a Prius if any car, and if you really want to hit Snog status then work the train or even a bus. Over the last few weeks we’ve had female celebrities embrace the Eurostar, and we think you should be doing the same!
